For every individual or business, it is very important to have the freedom of choosing what type of operating system is needed. Heficed ‘Custom ISO’ feature allows our customers to install any type of Unix, Linux or Windows OS installation depending on their needs.

This short video shows how easy it is to upload a custom ISO file to our servers:

For a better understanding, here are most of the steps made in the video explained in greater detail:

STEP 1. Choose your server by navigating to Terminal -> Kronos Cloud -> Virtual Machines.
STEP 2. Proceed to Templates option and scroll down to the bottom and press 'Upload ISO'
STEP 3. To successfully download an ISO file, it has to be reachable via HTTP protocol. Once you have the file address, paste it into the 'ISO url' field and don't forget to name the template.
Once you click 'Upload ISO' your file will start downloading.
Please keep in mind that this might take some time depending on where the file is hosted.
STEP 4. Once the download is complete, click on three dots near your newly created template and if you have a bootable ISO file choose 'Install', if not - 'Attach'.
STEP 5. Proceed to finish the installation of your server through 'Virtual Console' at the top of the page.
STEP 6. When server installation is complete, make sure to exit the remote console, detach your ISO file and reboot the server.

This article serves as a base example of the procedure.
